Bella Vista has 7 lovely fishing lakes. All of the lakes have boat access and picnic facilities.  Lake access is restricted to Bella Vista property owners and their guests.  You don't have to own property on the lake, you just have to own a home or a lot in Bella Vista.  If you are renting a home or townhouse in Bella Vista you have to purchase a guest permit  to use the lakes.   An 8th lake, Lake Bella Vista, is currently in the process of being reconstructed and is surrounded by a lovely walking trail.  Beaver Lake, though not in Bella Vista, is worth noting if you love fishing.  It's only 20 miles east of Bella Vista and is a Corp of Engineer Lake covering over 27,000 acres!  You could fit most all of Bella Vista Village in Beaver Lake! No personal water craft are allowed on any of Bella Vista lakes and some of the lakes are "no wake" lakes, requiring boat motors to be 10 H.P. or less.   All the lakes are stocked with game fish for year round fishing enjoyment.  All it takes is your Arkansas fishing license and your Bella Vista Membership or Guest Card in your wallet to enjoy some of the best fishing in North West Arkansas!

LAKE PROPERTY

On the average, lake homes in Bella Vista begin at $250,000 and go up from there, 
with the median priced being in the $300,000 - $350,000 range.  Lake lots 
sell from $75,000.00 up, depending on the location and layout of the lot.
Lake lots are few, as most have been developed.  You can find homes near the 
lake with lake views for much less.  Good lake lots seem to add as much as 
$75,000 - $100,000.00 to a comparable home not on the lake.  It seems everyone wants
to live on the lake these days!

To put a boat on any of the lakes you'll be required to purchase a temporary or yearly boat permit, available from the P.O.A (Property Owner's Association).  Fishing from the shores is free for POA members and guests holding a valid POA (Property Owners Association) ID card, however, anyone over the age of 14 must have a valid Arkansas fishing permit.  Fees can change without notice so be sure to check with the Property Owner's Association for current prices.
